In 2007, during the 6th season of the popular television series, “American Idol”, America was introduced to a 17 year old by the name of Jordin Sparks. Despite her young age, Jordin immediately blew everyone away with her amazing vocals and became the 6th winner of the series. This talented young singer comes from very humble beginnings and from early on has been destined for greatness. Jordin was born to Jodi Weidmann Sparks and former professional football player Phillippi Sparks on December 22, 1989 in Phoenix, Arizona. During her youth, Jordin won various singing competitions with some of the most notable ones being America’s Most Talented Kids and The Colgate Country Showdown. After being crowned the sixth season winner of “American Idol”, Jordin has since released two very successful albums. When she is not busy making albums, there are many other ventures that she loves investing her time in. She has her own clothing line entitled “Sparks” and fragrance named “Because of You”. Jordin is involved in television acting appearing on shows such as “Big Time Rush” and “The Suite Life on Deck”. She also has made her Broadway debut casting in the Tony award winning show “In the Heights”.
